¿What is Art Therapy ?
It is a discipline that uses art for therapeutic purposes .
Through its application, the person achieves self-knowledge, personal development, and emotional expression..
In our sessions we work in an interdisciplinary way supported by the supervision of psychologists, health and education personnel.
Art therapy is used to heal psychological disorders, anxiety, fears, blockages, grief, negative behaviors, stress, fibromyalgia, problematic consumption, or simply as a means of expression when verbal communication is not possible.
It can be carried out through multiple artistic manifestations: painting, music, writing, dance, theater, singing, and recreation in general.
It is important to know that in Art Therapy, the facilitator/instructor/coordinator does not interpret the work created, as it is the author themselves who achieves the interpretation.
We do not seek an aesthetic end; it is the process itself that matters.
Art Therapy achieves:
Improving self-esteem and the capacity for resilience
Increasing attention and body awareness
Facilitating the expression of emotions, thoughts, and sensations
Connecting with vitality, pleasure, and personal resources
Accompanying grief processes
Transforming traumatic experiences
